The Jurassic Museum
The Jurassic Museum was opened on 28th of September 2004 in the Bałtów Jurassic Park. The opening was attended by dr. Grzegorz Pieńkowski who arrived in Bałtów with a group of about 50 scientists participating in the international symposium ‘Jurassica IV’. Also the authorities of Ostrowiec Świętokrzyski and Bałtów community were among the invited guests.Currently on display in the Jurassic Museum is an exposition entitled ‘Morocco – fossil factory’. It is an outcome of three expeditions to Africa, organized by the Jurassic Park Explorer Team. The displayed specimens will belong to the Bałtów Jurassic Park.
What is on display?:
• bones of Cretaceous dinosaurs;
• remains of marine reptiles;
• shark teeth;
• Palaeozoic trilobites;
• Mesozoic cephalopods;
• corals.
The exposition is accompanied by reconstructions of trilobites, handicraft products and numerous photographs of the expeditions.
